Janice Gipe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tom M. Wages Funeral Service - Snellville on Dec. 13, 2025.
Janice Arlesa Gipe (née Berry), born in Atlanta, GA May 14, 1949, passed December 11, 2025 in Snellville, GA. She is survived by her husband Jay Gipe, sisters Denise Berry of Chicago, IL and Darlene Lauth (Greg) of Cumming, GA. She is also survived by her daughters Janese Parker, Jessica Marshall (David) and her son Joshua Gipe (Emilie). Her grandchildren are Alexis Keo (Mike), Grant Marshall, Nora and Georgia Gipe and great-grandson Dara Keo.
Janice was a loyal and supportive wife, devoted and tireless mother to her children. She was the beloved big sister to her twin siblings. She loved babies and often volunteered at the church nursery. To many she was a prayer warrior and a person of unshakable faith. She spent an hour every night writing in her prayer journal for anyone she knew, or had heard about, that was going through hard times.
She was an avid gardener who could grow any flower, anywhere. In her teens, Janice worked in the Junior Department at Sears and dressed in the latest fashions. Her independence was a powerful life lesson to her sisters, especially after she bought her own Volkswagen Beetle. Janice owned and operated her own house cleaning business for years, as well.
She was a wife, mother, sister, aunt and (great) grandmother and caretaker to all. Throughout her entire life, Janice strove to see and bring out the good in everyone, did not judge anyone and was one of the best listeners. She was one of the sweetest people in the world and will be dearly missed by all.
Janice's life celebration will be held December 20th, 2025 at 11am with a light lunch in the community room following the service at, Tom M. Wages Funeral Snellville Chapel, 3705 Hwy 78W, Snellville, GA 30039.
