William Harvey Cochran 68, of Vandergrift, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026, in his fiancé Malissa A. Smith's residence.

Born July 9, 1957, in Natrona Heights he is the son of the late William Raymond and Pearl Jane Jackson Cochran.

Bill was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Kiskimere. Local clubs include the Vandergrift VFW and the Vandergrift Elks. He enjoyed watching sports especially the Steelers, dancing, listening to music, cooking, (known for his infamous ribs), spending time with his family, and loved his time in Georgia with two of his daughters and his grandchildren. Everyone that knew Bill, knew he loved his family.

Survivors include his fiancé Malissa A. Smith of Vandergrift. Four daughters Keisha (Patricia) Summers of Duquesne, April Denise Smith of Vandergrift, Ashley Pearl Cochran of Decatur, GA and Randi Nicole (Matthew) Thompson of Snellville, GA. Two sons Christopher Nelson of San Bernardino, CA and William Raymond Cochran of Vandergrift. 13 Grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. His brother Raymond E. Cochran of Vandergrift. Four sisters Emogene Lawson of Clinton, MD, Carol Allensworth of Apollo, Darlene Chin of Vandergrift and Dorian Cochran of Clairton, God daughter Ebony (Devidid) Woods of Monroeville, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters Deloris Knight and Sylvia Stovall and his grandson Isaac Wolfe.

A Homegoing service will be held on Saturday, February 28th at 11am

at Morning Star Baptist Church, Kiskimere. With Rev. Hubert D Hutcherson officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the DUNMIRE-KERR & ROWE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 244 Franklin Avenue, Vandergrift.
