James William Glidden, formerly of Trumansburg, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at the age of 82.
Jim was born on October 24, 1943 in Ithaca, a son of the late William and Kathryn (White) Glidden. He was a naval veteran with a career as a wildlife biologist with the New York State Department of Conservation.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Glidden; son, Todd Glidden; daughter Jessica Hunter; five grandchildren; and siblings, Ann Sprague and Tom Glidden.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg.
