James David Graham

James David "Jimmy" Graham, 59, passed away on August 13, 2025, at his home in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Born in Selma, Alabama on April 19, 1966, and growing up in San Antonio, Jimmy was raised with strong Texas roots, faith in God, and love for his family. He was a proud Aggie and graduated from the honorable Texas A&M University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Telecommunications. While at A&M, Jimmy proudly marched in the prestigious Texas A&M Corps of Cadets in which he played the trombone. This experience shaped much of his character, loyalty, and commitment throughout his life.

Following graduation, Jimmy embarked on a career in telecommunications in Chicago, Illinois, later relocating to Fort Walton Beach. There, he concluded his career as a dedicated and highly skilled computer specialist with Vitro Services.

A defining time in Jimmy's life was his battle with brain cancer. He was proud to let anyone he ever met know that he had beat cancer. As a survivor, he lived with great resilience and an appreciation for every single day. His curiosity and love for learning never ceased. A few of his many passions included astronomy, marine biology, cooking, music, cats, and tracking developing storms or hurricanes. He was always eager and willing to share his new discoveries.

He is survived by and deeply loved by his mother, Barbara Graham Smith of San Antonio, Texas. He will also be deeply missed by his surviving cousins Rebecca Webb Kusak of New Braunfels, Texas; Deborah Webb McDaniel of Cypress, Texas; Corey Lee Webb of Schertz, Texas; and Eric Kinnear of Dickinson, Texas. His beloved Norwegian Forest Cat, Jinx, who passed alongside him, was his constant companion, and they will always be bound by heart together.

Jimmy will forever be remembered for his intelligence, kindness and unwavering spirit. He is deeply missed by all who knew him.

Services will be held privately with his family.
