James Gravens Obituary
James E. Gravens, 72, of Trafalgar, IN departed this earthly life to begin an eternal life with his Lord and Savior on April 29th, 2024. He was born December 10, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN to the late James Ernest and Lavetric (Kathleen) Gravens. He was married to Rometta Gail Gravens for 28 yrs. who preceded him in death. He was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
Jimmy was known as "Pappy" to his family and friends. He worked as a mechanic for several businesses through-out his career and owned Pappy's Automotive Sunoco. He was an avid tinkerer and loved building cars "hot rods" (Pontiac GTOs and Chevys) in which he built/restored several during his life, as well as, helped several of his friends with their car projects.
He was also preceded in death by his sister Frances Joyce Sizemore. He is survived by his brother John Gravens (Julie) of Greenwood IN. and their children Zane and Rachel Gravens, as well as, his sister's daughter, Brandi Rachelle Sizemore and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
There will be no visitation or services. He will be laid to rest in Cedar Grove Cemetery Glasgow, Ky. at a time to be determined.
