James (Jim) L. Griffin Jr., age 80, of Fond du Lac, and formerly Campbellsport, Wisconsin was called home to the Lord on Sunday, July 27, 2025. Jim was born November 25, 1944 son of Dorothy A. (nee Fox) and James L. Sr. He worked a few jobs over the years, including WE Energies. He also was proud owner of his own business, D.C. & B Outfitters. Jim had a love for collecting. His collections included coins, cameras, guns, Hallmark ornaments, and John Wayne memorabilia. He found great delight in finding the deals. Jim enjoyed taking pictures of people, places, pets, and flowers. He loved to chat with people, so if you had the time, he had stories to tell. His newest hobby was coloring, the more intricate the picture or design, the better, and he excelled at it.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his loving, cherished fiance, Donna. Jim was greeted at Rainbow Bridge by his loyal friends, Duke, Charlie, and Brandy.
He is survived by many family and friends.
A service in Jim's honor will be held Sunday, September 14. Visitation will be from 2:30 until 3:00 pm followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 3 pm, followed by a luncheon, at his church, Essential Rock Church, 402 E. 9th St. Fond du Lac, Wisconsin 54935. Officiating Clergy Pastor John Slotten.
Jim's final resting place is at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
Thank you to the staff at Tarfa Terrace Assisted Living for the care you gave Jim.
Ciao, Jim
