James "Junior" Grover, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on September 20, 2025, in Blountstown, Florida, at the age of 79. Born on March 2, 1946, in Altha, Florida, he dedicated his life to family and community, leaving a legacy of love, kindness, and fun-loving spirit.
For over 40 years, James built a successful career in auto sales, where his infectious personality and genuine charm endeared him to countless customers and colleagues. A graduate of Altha High School, James carried the values of hard work and integrity throughout his professional journey. He was also a proud Vietnam Veteran, having served honorably in the United States Army, a chapter of his life that reflected his commitment to service and sacrifice.
James was much more than his accomplishments; he was the kind of person who could light up a room. His warmth and ability to share stories brought joy to everyone around him. Friends and family alike cherished the moments spent in his company, knowing that they would leave with smiles on their faces. His love for Florida State football was as passionate as his admiration for Donald Trump, signifying his vibrant personality and strong opinions, which he was never shy to express.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Grover, He also leaves behind his son, Kevin Grover, and his wife Shalene; his daughters, Miranda Allen and her husband Will, and Amanda Sims and her husband Rob; and his grandchildren, Ethan and Aidan Grover and Irene Allen.
James was preceded in death by his son, Kendrick Grover and his only sister, Shirley Sangster; losses that weighed heavily on his heart but never diminished the love he held for his family. His legacy will continue through the memories shared, the stories told, and the laughter that echoes in the spaces he once filled with light.
A visitation will be held in his honor on September 23, 2025, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Adams Funeral Home, where family and friends can come together to celebrate his life. A funeral service will follow on September 24, 2025, at 3 PM at Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery. In this way, we will remember and cherish the incredible spirit that was James Grover.
