James (Jim) Lee Hain, a cherished 83-year-old, peacefully passed away on December 19, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on June 22, 1941, in Kelso, Washington, to George and Vera (Jewel) Hain, Jims life was a testament to service, love, and hobbies.
After graduating from Nampa High in 1959, Jim enlisted in the Army, serving with distinction for three years in Europe. Upon his return, he dedicated his life to farming, working at Black Canyon Irrigation and later Valley Wide Co-op until his retirement.
Beyond his work, Jim found joy in fishing, bowling, and playing pool with friends. Gardening, puzzles, diamond paintings, and his passion for the Seattle Mariners and Seahawks were also among his cherished activities.
Jims life was a testament to his unwavering love for his family. He was married to his soulmate, Connie, for an incredible 41 years. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, and Jim is survived by their four children, Brian, Sheri, Tony, and Ronda, ten grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
Jims extended family includes his brother, Dennis (Diana), and two sisters, Patricia and Penny.
In addition to his immediate family, Jim is also preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sister-in-law, two brother-in-laws, and several aunts and uncles.
A service and reception will be held at Alsips in Nampa on December 30th, starting at 11:00 a.m. Live streaming of the service will also be available for those who cannot attend in person.
Jims burial will take place at a later date at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery
