James Phillip “Bud” Hauser, 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on November 12, 1937 in Jasper County, Iowa to the late Lawrence Paul Hauser and Pearl Stanfield Hauser. Bud was the husband of 65 years to the love of his life Bobbie Rogers Hauser of the home.
Bud retired after 35 years with Burlington Industries in the maintenance department and was a US Navy veteran. He enjoyed working on cars, including his old Buick, going to car shows, working outside on his tractor, doing all kinds of yardwork and going to flea markets. But Bud especially looked forward to the monthly group meetings at Grillwork’s in Glen Raven with his BI buddies, and also Bud along with Bobbie enjoyed meeting their breakfast buddies at the Bojangles in Hillsborough. Bud was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed.
Survivors other than his wife, Bobbie Hauser include his children, Phil Hauser and fiancé Donna M. Ross, Debbie Lunsford and husband Cary, and John Hauser and wife Donna; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ann King and husband Marlie; brother-in-law, John Rogers and wife Ann; and several nieces and nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Catherine Gail Frazier, Dorothy Hatley, Pauline Huffman, Linda Grable and Charles Thomas “Tommy” Hauser.
The funeral service to celebrate the life of Bud will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Wayne Howard with the burial to follow at Mebane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45pm Tuesday prior to the service and other times at the residence.
