James M. Heinritz (Jimbo), 79, of Six Lakes, Michigan, formerly of Charlotte, Michigan, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at his home under the loving care of his family and Michigan Hospice.
The son of Earl Joseph & Wilma Elizabeth (Ingalls) Heinritz, he was born on June 28, 1944 in Lansing, Michigan. On December 29, 1975, in Las Vegas, Nevada he married his best friend and love of his life, Cheryl Stiteler.
He retired as a paint repairman from Oldsmobile / General Motors in Lansing, Michigan after dedicating himself to the company for 35 years. James enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching the Michigan State Spartans play basketball and football, and spending time on the lake boating with friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ronald W. Heinritz.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Cheryl M. Heinritz of Six Lakes; their children, Jamie S. Schnepp (Mark D.), Tracy Haynes (Greg Zuker), Stefanie A. Anderson (Brian W.); Grandchildren Shane J. Schnepp (Jenna), Trevor P. Schnepp (Jessie), Matthew R. Heinritz, Adam J. Distel, Robert L. Anderson, Madison M.R. Haynes, Morghan J. Haynes; and one great grandchild, Elliot J. Heinritz; his siblings Dennis F. Heinritz, Alice A. Heinritz (Beverly), and Gary T. Heinritz; his loving in-laws, Father in law, Gene, and Brothers and Sisters in Law Ronald Stiteler (Judy), Randy Stiteler, Gary Stiteler, Jo Brady (Tom), and Jan Griffith (Buzz); and many beloved nieces and nephews.
