Robert W. Heinritz, Jr., 75, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025.
He was born on October 16, 1949, in Marinette, WI, the son of the late Robert and Beatrice (Cudnofsky) Heinritz, Sr. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Robert married Laurie Hamburg on July 27, 1985, in Milwaukee, WI. The couple made their home in Milwaukee until moving to Iron River after retiring. They celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary in 2024.
He was employed as a medical device technician at General Electric in Waukesha, WI. Robert was a member of AMVETS Post #436 in Iron River. He had a range of hobbies from woodworking and furniture restoration to building computers to religious research.
Robert is survived by his wife, Laurie Heinritz; sons, Scott Heinritz and Robert Heinritz, both of Iron River, and Daniel (Oreana) Heinritz of Wausau, WI; brothers, Edward (Nancy) Heinritz of Franklin, WI and Daniel (Susan) Heinritz of Waukesha, WI; sisters, Clarie (Rick) Stelloh of St. Francis, WI and Lila (Dale) Wuhrmann of Franklin, WI; sister-in-law, Sandra (Steven) Stuczynski of Greenfield, WI; grandchildren, Summer, Liliana, and Avery; extended family and friends
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Rick Heinritz and sister-in-law, Denise Domrzalski.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m. with Paul Black, Chaplain to officiate. The West Side Veterans will accord Military Rites at the service.
