Brian A. Heinritz, age 55 of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. He was born on June 22, 1967 to the late Jay and Maxine (Buske) Heinritz in Appleton. After high school, Brian became a Mason, doing stonework on many buildings and building houses before his accident that left him disabled. That wouldn't stop him though; he continued to help with masonry and helped out quite a bit at the saw mill. Brian enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and splitting wood. He would do anything to be outdoors, even cooking out over a campfire or on the grill. He loved to spend time outside with his dog Mayfly, who was his constant companion and helper. Brian had a love for gardening, growing 8ft tall tomato plants and sunflowers. He had a heart of gold, matched by his sunflowers. His spicy spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Benjamin (significant other Jessica Maglior) Heinritz, stepson, Ryan (Kimberly) Kamke, granddaughter, Lillian. Brian is further survived by his sister Wendy Giles and brother Thomas (Sherry) Heinritz as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents, sisters; Pamela Heinritz and Sharon Hofman, niece Phoebe Heinritz and Jules, his first support dog.
Family and friend may gather on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N Richmond St, Appleton from 1:00pm until 3:00pm, with a memorial service to follow at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established by his family.
The family would like to thank Chris and Pat at the sawmill for all the love given to Brian, to Mike and Brenda, childhood friends who remained close and helped out as they could and to Dan Whitman, his good friend who was there for Brian as he needed.
