James Louis Heintz Jr., 77, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025. He was married for over thirty-six years and worked at the Kroger Company for over forty-one years. James was also a member of the United Food Workers Union #1995. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Brownie Heintz. He is survived by his wife; Glenda Heintz, sons; James (Gina) Heintz, Jared (Jade) Heintz, Gary Gunnel, daughter'; Tina Carter, sister; Judith Pilkinton (William), Edith Akin, also a proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Family and friends will assemble at Smithview Pavilion from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, August the 11th. An inurnment will take place on Monday, August the 11th, at 10:00 AM at the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Knoxville, Tn. In lieu of flowers please make all donations to Gentiva Hospice. Condolences may be shared at www.SmithFuneralandCremation.com. Smith Funeral and Cremation Services, Maryville, 865-983-1000 is helping the family at this time.
