Jim (James) Heiskell went to be with his Heavenly Father on March 27,2023.
Jim was born February 1, 1941 to his parents, James and Earnestine Heiskell of Sweetwater, TN.
Jim moved to Oak Ridge, TN from Sweetwater, TN in third grade. He graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1959 were he played on the ORHS baseball team. Growing up in Oak Ridge he worked at Witt's Fish and Bait Store and the White Store when not fishing and hunting in the surrounding areas. After graduation he was drafted into the Army and served two years between Fort Knox in Kentucky, where son, Ted was born and Fort Sill in Oklahoma.
The family returned to Oak Ridge where Jim began working at the Oak Ridge National Lab in October 1966 where he served as assistant food manager and provided management relief at Y-12 and K-25 plants. Jim retired from ORNL in 1994.
Jim was predeceased by his mother, father and brother, Robert Heiskell. He is survived by his loving wife, Marianne Heiskell, son, Ted Heiskell and his wife, Kelly Heiskell. Granddaughters, Kenzie Heiskell, Taylor Shaddix with husband Zach Shaddix and great grandsons, Milo and Hendrix Shaddix. Sister, Susie Stephens.
Upon retirement, Jim and Marianne enjoyed moving to the lake in the Hardin Valley area. Along with his love of fishing, hunting and bird watching (especially Eagles) he loved serving at Faith Promise Church the most. He served in many roles. Jim was one of the original members of Faith Promise where he did everything from lawn mowing to being an Elder and security for the fpKIDS babies and anything else that needed to be done.
The family requests any donations in his memory be made to Faith Promise Church at 10740 Faith Promise Lane, Knoxville, TN 37931.

Jimmy was a great friend and brother in Christ and will be greatly missed at Faith Promise Church It will be great to see him again in the presence of Jesus. He was a good and faithful servant!
