James "Jimmy" Hendricks

James T. "Jimmy" Hendricks, 65, of New Britain, husband of Deborah (Jones) Hendricks, passed away Friday (December, 19 2025) at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Born in Kenbridge, VA, he lived in New Britain for over thirty years. Jimmy was a graduate of Central High School in Victoria, VA, and was a salesman for Electrical Wharehouses in Middletown for seventeen years, retiring in 2023. He had a passion for fishing, music and lounging at home in his favorite chair with his buddy MJ while watching westerns. He loved and cherished the time he spent with his family and deeply loved his wife, children, grandchildren and his great granddaughter.

Besides his wife Deborah, he leaves three sons, James Hendricks and his wife Anna of Waterbury, Jamie Hendricks of Charleston, NC, and Orrin Osborn and his wife Raycean of Hamden; four daughters, Renata Smith of Bristol, Erica Hendricks and her wife Melanie of New Britain, Orneshia Osborn and her life partner Jamel Hamilton of Hartford, and Dominique Osborn of West Hartford; two brothers, Earl Hendricks and Kenneth Coles both of Kenbridge, VA ; four sisters, Mary-Elizabeth Graves and her husband James of Kenbridge, Lisa Haywood of Raleigh, NC, Lucille Rainey, and Gracie Johnson both of Kenbridge; eleven grandchildren; a great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. Jimmy was predeceased by his mother and father Mary A. Rainey and Otis Rainey.

Funeral services are Monday (December 29, 2025) 1PM at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Monday (December 29, 2025) from 12 Noon to 1PM at Carlson Funeral Home.
