James C. Hill, 77, of Daleville passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born on November 23, 1948, in Muncie to the late James and Mary (Harden) Hill.
Known as a man that lived life on his own terms, James was always the life of the party as they would say. He served his country in the United States Army, after his service James went to work for AT&T working many different jobs during his career and retired after many years of service. James loved working on cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He enjoyed camping, golfing and watching NASCAR. James was always willing to help others in need.
James is survived by his children, Michelle Hill, Kimberly Hill (Randy) Slape and Jessica Hill; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Caitlyn, Peyton and Zane; great grandchildren, Jocelyn and Hazel; siblings, Jo (Danny) Reneau, Fred (Carol) Hill and Jill Latta; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents James was preceded in death by a son, Greg Hill.
Visitation will be on Sunday February 22, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Daleville. Services will be at 3:00 pm with Michael Osborn officiating.
