James Hoffman Obituary
Born May 23, 1953 in Elkins, WV, he was a son of the late James W. and Eva A. (Rexrode) Hoffman.
James was a member of St. Joseph Church, Derry. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Reparex. A Vietnam War Veteran, he served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Twin Maples Hunt Club. An avid car enthusiast, he enjoyed going to car shows and taking his '38 Ford Truck.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Scott Hoffman.
James is survived by his wife, Denise M. (Calabrese) Hoffman of Derry; three children, Renee Baker, and her husband Ryan, of North Carolina, Jim R. Hoffman of North Carolina, and Shelby Hoffman of Loyalhanna; one brother, David Hoffman of Florida; two sisters, Sherry Banyan, and her husband Jacob, of Ohio and Linda Greene of Greensburg; two grandchildren, Olivia Marie and Audrey Elizabeth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no public visitations. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass at 10 am Monday at St. Joseph Church, Derry with the Rev. Salvatore Lamendola as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Unity Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home, LLC, 601 Weldon Street, Latrobe.
