James Robert Huffman

James Robert Huffman, 52, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. We deeply mourn the passing of Jamie who was born on November 8, 1973, and raised in Brunswick County, NC. He was the beloved son of the late Benjamin Bryant Huffman Jr. and Mary Robbins Huffman.

Jamie lived a life characterized by his unwavering kindness, and boundless passion for the outdoors, which included fishing, hunting, gardening and landscaping. He found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life and cherished every moment he spent with his loved ones, especially his only daughter, Brittany Huffman (Josh Riden) of Wilmington, whom he loved unconditionally.

Jamie will always be loved and cherished by his siblings; Jimmie Mintz (Lee) of Leland, Shelly Roberts (Pernell) of Bladenboro, Shelia McKenzie (Fred) of Whiteville, Ben Huffman (Lisa) of Winnabow and the late EG Mintz of Winnabow. Jamie was the beloved Uncle to 13 nephews and nieces and the Great Uncle to 12 Great Nephews and Great Nieces.

Jamie's love for nature and the outdoors was only matched by his love for his family and friends. Jamie will be missed by his numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.

Jamie lost his battle with cancer, a disease that he fought bravely until the very end. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. His strength and resilience will serve as inspiration and will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December the 27th at 2pm at Living Word Church located at 1029 George II Hwy SE, Winnabow NC 28479. Please join the family for fellowship, food and sharing of memories following the Celebration of Life.
