James Roger Hutchinson "Hutch" 71, of Alma, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, November 7. 2024 at his home. Born on May 18, 1953, in Trenton, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Richard and Marion Hutchinson. He graduated from Hopewell Valley High School in Pennington, New Jersey, in 1971, where he played basketball and baseball. Hutch was the youngest of 11 brothers and sisters, he spent his life living in Arkansas, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. He was a favorite of all his siblings, and 22 plus niece's and nephew's.
Hutch enjoyed listening to classical music, cooking, golfing, playing cards and games with family. In his younger years he loved Ballroom and Swing dance. An avid sports fan, he loved to watch his nieces and nephews sporting events being their biggest fan. He enjoyed Umpiring baseball and softball in Allentown, Pennsylvania and was a member of River Valley Golf in Dyer, Arkansas. Hutch was known for his love of history and science; he was an excellent Trivia game player. He held a special place in his heart for animals, especially cats, having had several very special "kitties" over the years. He donated monthly to the ASPCA.
James is survived by three sisters Jean Miller (Don) of Allentown PA, Audrey Zickwolf of Alma AR. and Carole Lemieux (Jim) of Dyer AR. and two brothers Donald Hutchinson of Mountainburg, AR. and Lane Hutchinson (Darlene) of PA. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Hutchinson II, May Levanduski, Katherine Hutchinson, Raymond Hutchinson, and Beverley Wiley.
Hutch will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Cremation is under the thoughtful care of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.
