David Ingram was born in Quanah Texas, to Paula (Conwell) Ingram & Raymond
Ingram on January 11, 1959. David has one sister Cheryl Ingram Thurmond "David's
Little Sister". David's hobbies as a child included hunting and flying model airplanes with
his grandfather (Pappy), until he found his passion for music (drums to be exact) at the
age of 9. The running joke between David and Karen was music was his first love and
mom was his side chick. David studied music theory at Western Oklahoma State
College, and Votech for Appliance Repair. He was the jack of all trades, as some would
say. Anyone that knew David, knew he walked through life to the beat of his own drum.
David met the love of his life Karen in 1979, they were married 46 years and raised
three children Jennifer, Daniel, and Rebecca together. David's proudest
accomplishment was stepping into the role of Papa, he shared his love of making music
with drums to his ten grandchildren Deshawn, Nathaniel, Jimmy Ray, Isaac, Gabriel,
Dylan, Harmony, Aubrey, Amerie, Hope "Mila", he even tried to send a drum set home
with each one (with complete discord from each parent of course). David has one
brother-n-law Jessie Thurmond, two son-n-laws Apollo Robb, Tony Haskins, and one
daughter-n-law Annissa Ingram. David will be greatly missed by his family and friends
that have become family. The music scene in which he spent so many years with lost a
very talented drummer. David we hope you are rumbling the heavens with the thump of
your bass drum.
