Kent Bailey August 26, 1977 – October 7, 2025 Kent Bailey left this realm on October 7th, moving on to whatever dimension his curious mind always believed was waiting beyond.
Kent was not a man who fit inside ordinary boxes. He questioned everything, explored the unseen, and lived his life searching for truth across both the physical and the metaphysical. He was fascinated by consciousness, energy, and the mysteries of existence. From aliens and astrology to the unseen threads that connect all living things. His mind was vast, his humor sharp, and his heart deeper than most people ever realized.
Kent lived with Paranoid Schizoaffective Disorder, a diagnosis that brought both struggle and stigma. But he was not his illness. He was a sensitive, intelligent, and loving soul who simply felt the world more intensely than most. The pain he carried was heavy, but his spirit was light.
He inspired the creation of Connecting Through Rhythm, a grassroots nonprofit founded by his twin brother, Kyle "Sage" Bailey. The organization's mission, to bring healing and connection to those suffering through music, mindfulness, and community, was born directly from Kent's story. His life and his struggles became the spark for something much larger: a movement to help others who are suffering, who have felt invisible or misunderstood.
Kent never followed the traditional path, and his farewell won't be traditional either. On October 19th at 5:00 PM at 3810 N Tulsa Ave, Oklahoma City, OK, there will be a gathering to celebrate his life, his curiosity, and his freedom. Friends, community, and family will come together to share music, stories, and light in his honor.
Those who wish to honor Kent can do so by donating to his final expenses or by supporting Connecting Through Rhythm, helping others like him find community, compassion, and peace. https://linktr.ee/connectingthroughrhythm
Kent was preceded in death by his mother, Clarese Bailey. He is survived by his twin brother, Kyle "Sage" Bailey, his aunts Sue Bates and Cathy Peña, his uncle Danny Standridge, and his cousins Brittany and Brandy Standridge.
Kent was loved deeply, misunderstood often, and will be remembered forever. May he finally rest in the cosmic peace he spent his life searching for.
