Tanisha (Nisha) Kimberly Davis, age 45, went home to be with the Lord on September 26,
2025, in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Nisha was born on August 15, 1980, to Timothy and Sandra Davis in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She
was the oldest sister, deeply adored, and a guiding light.
She graduated from Lone Grove High School with the Class of 1998 and went on to earn her
bachelor's degree from East Central University. Nisha loved learning and had a deep
appreciation for knowledge. She was baptized at Maxwell Church of Christ in Ardmore, where
her faith was an anchor throughout her life.
On November 24, 2006, she gave birth to her daughter, BreeAnna Michelle Cadwallader, who
became her pride and joy. Nisha devoted her life to BreeAnna and poured her heart into being a
loving mother. Much of her career was spent working in nursing homes, serving as both nursing
staff and in social services. She was a strong advocate for senior citizens and was known for her
compassion, gentle spirit, and genuine care for others.
Nisha was not only a wonderful mother but also a devoted sister and loyal friend. She always
encouraged her sisters and friends in every season of life, cheering them on with words of hope
and love. Her laughter, kindness, and unwavering support will be remembered by all who knew
her.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Leroy and Lucy Hill Davis of Madill,
Oklahoma, and her maternal grandfather, Marion Franklin "Preacher" Carter of Russett,
Oklahoma.
She is survived by her daughter, BreeAnna Cadwallader of Ardmore, Oklahoma; grandmother
Lila Lee Carter of Russett, Oklahoma; her parents, Sandra Lea Davis of Ardmore, Oklahoma,
Timothy Davis of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and stepmother Cynthia Jean Davis of Ardmore,
Oklahoma; and her sisters: Kimberley Dawn Davis of Purcell, Oklahoma; Toni Layton of
Ardmore, Oklahoma; Brittney Morgan Davis of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and Courtney Allison
Davis of Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Nisha is also survived by her loving aunts and uncles: Ronald (Dinky) and wife Lisa King of
Mannsville, Oklahoma; Brenda Carter of Madill, Oklahoma; Darrell Davis and wife Delline of
Madill, Oklahoma; Robert Davis of Madill, Oklahoma; Debra Davis Bowens and husband Greg
of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Joanna Orange and husband Kenneth of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and
Patsy Benjamin and husband Larry of Ardmore, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind many cousins
who cherished her deeply.
Her nieces and nephews were like her own children, and she adored each of them: Abigail Leigh
Sigler of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Maxx and Isabella Henshaw of Noble, Oklahoma; Olive Jade
Estrada of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Savion Stanley Davis of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Harley Michelle
Layton of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Morgan Nichole Hayes of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and Allyson
Paige Gill of Norman, Oklahoma. Nisha was a devoted aunt who created countless joyful
memories with them, and her love will forever remain in their hearts.
Those honored to be named as Honorary Bearers are Germaine Roberts, Cory Whitter, Ronald
Steven King Jr, and Maxx Davis Henshaw, Albert Sibley. Each of them held a special place in Nisha's life.
Nisha's life was a gift to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her kind spirit, her big
heart, and the way she always put others first. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of
love and compassion will live on through her daughter, her family, and her friends.
