James Jacobson Obituary
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Pat; daughters Julie (Jeff) Backman and Jennifer (Mike Koch); grandchildren Mia, Taylor, Nate, and Ella; and sisters Karen Zink and Debra Peterson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Verna and James Jacobson. Jim enjoyed cars, sports, golf, music, reading, and traveling with his family, especially annual trips to Seaside and summers at the lake. After a 30-plus-year career in heavy construction, retiring as a Superintendent in 2001, Jim continued giving back through church and volunteer work. Known for his optimism, generosity, and love of laughter, Jim will be deeply missed.
A Memorial Service will be held February 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Fairway Village Clubhouse, 15509 SE Fernwood Dr, Vancouver, WA.

I graduated in 1962 with Jim and Pat. We also got married a week a part and had many wonderful memories as couples together in Aberdeen. Our spur of the moment trips to Seattle late at night were the best memories of all. We are thankful for the friendship we shared for all these many years and we will miss him. Our prayers and thoughts are with Pat and his wonderful family.
