James "Jay" Spencer Sr.

James W. Spencer was born to Charles and Christina Spencer, November 25, 1970. Their Thanksgiving baby. From Louisville, Jay, attended

Atherton High school. There he enjoyed Shop class, with an emphasis in wood working. After high school he continued to work with his hands in the

culinary field. Jay’s passion for cooking lead him to work at Vincenzo’s Italian restaurant for a number of years. Jay loved to spend time with his

family and friends. He would go fishing with his friends or to bingo when he was able. You could often find him in the lobby of his apt building

listening to music and socializing with other residents. His most cherished pastime was time with his grandson JaQari. October 3, 2024 the Lord 

welcomed James home. His parents proceeded him in death. He leaves his children: James Spencer, Jashaun Carson, and J’Aria Horton; Step 

kids: Daymeka, Deshia, Brandin, Terrneshia, and Fred; 2 grandkids: JaQari and Loyalty; and 30 step grandkids. He also leaves a brother Eric 

Spencer and a Sister Neavona (Dave) Dulin. He also leaves a host of other family who love and will miss him.
