James “Jim” Edward Feltz passed away on February 4th, 2025, after a courageous one-year battle with cancer. His devoted wife of nearly 31 years, Lisa (Carroll) Feltz, and his children, Michael and Allison Feltz, were by his side at the time of his passing. Jim was born on June 18th, 1964, to his loving parents, Arnold and Kathleen “Bechert” Feltz, who survive him.
Other survivors include his brothers: Fr. Joe Feltz and Jeff Feltz; sister: Mary (Rick) Mouradian; In-laws: Greg (Michelle) Carroll; Christina (Joe) LaRosa; and Cathy (Bill) Holland; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was a 1982 graduate of Roncalli High School. He earned his mechanical engineering degree from Purdue University in 1986 followed by an MBA from Indiana University. He recently retired from Eli Lilly and Company after a wonderful 26 - year career.
Jim was an incredible man whose life was a testament to faith, family, love, friendship and music. His quiet strength and unwavering faith left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He was an avid sports fan and Corvette fanatic. He was a man of many talents. Outside of work, he enjoyed traveling, coaching, and playing music at St. Barnabas Church and with his band, Train Wreck. Above all, he was a devoted husband and father, whose love for his wife and children was boundless. His family was his greatest treasure, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He was an incredibly proud dad to Mike and Ally and spent every minute diving head-first into all of their activities whether it be sports, academics or just being an incredible listener and adviser.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of faith, love, and music will continue to resonate in our hearts forever.
