James "Jim" Francis Hynson, 80, of Alexander, passed away surrounded by his loved ones. For 48 years, he served as a Respiratory Therapist at Arkansas Children's Hospital, dedicating his life to saving children with compassion and skill.
Above all, James loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jeanne Dixon Hynson; his daughter, Julie Hynson Morrow; his son, Jeffery Hynson; and his grandchildren, Sydney Morrow, Aidyn Hynson, and Legend Hynson. He is also survived by his sisters, Patricia McNeice, Debbie Dodrill, and Janice (Thom) Staley.
Jim served in the United States Air Force from 1964 - 1968 in Jacksonville, Arkansas. He will be remembered for his devotion, kindness, and unwavering love. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends honor James's memory by donating blood and plasma-a gift of life that reflects the work he devoted his own life to.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home (8801 Knoedl Court).
