James (Jim) F. Parsons, 77, of Mt. Pleasant, Tn, passed away on August 19, 2025. Born in 1948, in Columbia Tn, Jim was the son of Delores (Buck) Parsons and James F. Parsons. Jim was a 22-year Army Veteran and served 2 years in Vietnam.
He was awarded the Bronze Star with V for Valor. Jim was an avid animal enthusiast; his joy was working with his farm animals.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Brenda (Rooks) Parsons, his two daughters, Janet (Matthew) Wood and Alicia (Andy) Brown, his son James Parsons, his three grandchildren, Zoe Wood, Ian Wood and Aidan Brown.
There will be no service. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations can be made to the Horse Plus Humane Society in Hohenwald Tn, https://horseplus.org/.
The family would like to thank MRMC CCU, First floor, Caris, and Dr Smith for all they did to help with our father’s passing; and Dr. Couch for constant care.
