James "Jim" Alan Servies

James A. Servies, age 75 of Crawfordsville, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Indiana University Arnett. He was born in Crawfordsville on November 16, 1948 to the late John E. and Rosemary (Potts) Servies.

Jim graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1967 and then went on to attend Ball State University, where he graduated in 1971 with a Bachelors Degree in Business. Jim married Virginia Powers on December 18, 1971.

Jim was an active member at the Vanity Theater and Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church. He worked at Stetler Chevrolet as a Finance Manager and owned his own business Decor One Paint and Wallpaper Store.

Jim will be deeply missed by his wife of 52 years; his brother, Bill (Lorie) Servies; nieces, Morgan (Jared) Smith, Lindsy (Jonathan) Green; nephews David and Kristopher Servies; great-nieces, Ava Smith and Oliva Green; and a great-nephew, Lincoln Green.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Robert Servies.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 South Washington Street in Crawfordsville on Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 1:00 pm until the time of services at 2:00 pm with Pastor Keith Strain officiating.
