James was born on June 13, 1965, son of James and Linda Youngs. He graduated from South Division High School in Milwaukee, WI. Jim was united in marriage to Valerie Cupery on July 18, 1987, at First Reformed Church in Waupun. He devoted over 30 years to his career as a supervisor at Kondex, where he was admired for his dedication and work ethic. His passions for these interests brought him great joy and were often shared with those he loved, especially moments shared with his grandchildren. Among the countless memories shared, Jim held his friendships dear, especially with his best friends, Scott Maras and Tom Hintze, who were like family to him.

Jim is survived by his two children, Nathan Youngs of Waupun and Kaitlin (Kyle) Hildreth of DeForest; three grandchildren, Amelia, Noah and Vivian Hildreth; brother, Brian (Sheri) Youngs and his mother, Linda Youngs; further survived by his brother- in-law, Barry (Linda) Cupery of Waupun, sister-in-law, Gail (Kevin) Harmsen of Fairwater and brother-in-law, Todd (Shae) Cupery of Waupun; mother-in-law, Helen Cupery of Waupun; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Valerie Youngs in 2022; father, James Youngs; brother, Don Youngs; father-in-law, Harvey Cupery and brother-in-law, Kelly Cupery.
