James "Jim" Walter Zajac

ZAJAC, James Walter "Jim" - Age 70, of Waterford, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contribution to the Michigan Humane Society.

Jim was born November 8, 1955 in Detroit, the son of Joseph and Sophie (Ketrue) Zajac. He was a 1973 graduate of Bishop Foley High School in Madison Heights. He married Lois Ann Tryles February 14, 1986 in Hawaii. He had resided in Waterford for the past 40 years coming from Royal Oak. Jim retired from the United States Postal Service in 2013 after 40 plus years of service. He enjoyed skiing, bowling, golfing and most of all his dogs.

Surviving are: his wife of 39 years, Lois; brothers, Joseph Zajac of Michigan and Nick (Louise) Zajac of West Bloomfield; brothers-in-law, Fred (Sandy) Tryles of Fenton and Leon (Shelley) Tryles of Lake Orion; godmother, Sr. Nancy Zajac; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Carly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sophie Zajac; sister, Kathy Hacker; sister-in-law, Donna Zajac; In-laws, Stanley and Margaret Tryles; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Gael Tryles; and niece, Angela Tryles. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
