Justin Joseph Partyka

Justin Joseph "J.J." Partyka passed away unexpectedly on November 1, 2025, at the age of 35. Born on March 21, 1990, in Pontiac, Michigan, Justin was the cherished son of Rob and Lisa Partyka and grew up in Royal Oak, Michigan.
From an early age, Justin had a deep curiosity about the world around him. He found peace and wonder in nature - often wandering the woods in search of mushrooms or simply listening to the quiet hum of life beneath the trees. He had a special love for reptiles, a passion he shared with his dad, and together they raised and cared for chameleons. Their bond was unshakable - father and son, best friends, kindred spirits. Since Rob's passing in March of 2024, Justin carried his memory close, and now they are together again.
Justin graduated from Bishop Foley High School in 2008, but his truest lessons were learned in the outdoors, through the rhythm of the seasons and the creatures he so admired. He was gentle yet strong, thoughtful yet full of life's quiet joy. To know Justin was to know kindness, humility, and a soul who found beauty in the simple things.
He is survived by his loving mother, Lisa, and was blessed with his aunts and uncles, and all of his cousins. He was preceded in death by his best friend and father, Rob, and his grandparents, Leonard and Teresa Partyka and Vernon and Marion Lambert.
Private services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Justin's name to the Detroit Zoo, a place that reflected his love for animals and the natural world.
Though Justin's time here was far too short, the love he shared, the gentleness he embodied, and the beauty he found in life will continue to echo in every heart he touched. And while our hearts ache in his absence, there is comfort in knowing that his reunion with his dad must have been so sweet.
