With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James Tatem Jimenez, who left this world on February 1,2025 at the age of 26. James was a beloved son, brother, nephew and friend whose kindness, faith and unwavering love touched the lives of many. Born on January 12, 1999; James was a beacon of light to all who knew him. He lived with a heart full of generosity and humor that could fill any room with laughter. His deep faith guided him through life's challenges. His warmth and joy left a lasting impact on everyone around him.
James was passionate about improving his life. He always strived to learn, grow and become the best version of himself. His resilience and determination inspired those around him, and he never stopped working towards a brighter future. He found joy in being part of the city, embracing its energy and opportunities. James stayed connected with his family, always prioritizing the well-being of those he loved.
He is survived by his loving mother, Jessica Kay Payne; his brothers, Kalin Alexander Jimenez and Nicholas Julian Suire; his sisters, Panacea Faye Payne and Elyssa Jae Payne; and the love of his life, Monica Samantha Lerma. He will also be deeply missed by his extended family and many dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Though his time with us was far too short, his love and legacy will remain in our hearts.
Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of Deer Park Funeral Directors 1:00 PM Friday, February 14, 2025. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment Cedar Bayou Masonic Cemetery, 2850 Ferry Rd, Baytown, TX 77520. We welcome all who were touched by James' love, light, and laughter to join us in remembering, honoring and celebrating his life during this time.
