James "Jimmy" Doub, born on January 6, 1954, passed away on October 7, 2025, leaving behind a legacy filled with love and cherished memories. Jimmy was a man of remarkable dedication, known for his willingness to help his family at any time. His unwavering support created a comforting presence that will be deeply missed.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his first spouse, Cheryl Pitcock; his parents, Willie Carl and Mary Elizabeth Doub; and brother, Donald Wayne Doub.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mittnee Doub; children, Cheryl (David) Hiser, Thomas (Michelle) Doub, Ronnie Doub, Justin Megibben, and Alex Doub; grandchildren, Thomas Corey (Meleah) Doub, Ellis Ash Hiser, and David Allan Hiser III; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Alaina, Xavier, and Elijah; and brothers, David (Jean) Doub, and Carl Doub.
A proud graduate of Maplewood High School, Jimmy carried with him a passion for life. He had an extraordinary talent for remembering the names of any and all actors and actresses, bringing a unique joy to conversations. His interests were wide-ranging. Jimmy loved cars and motorcycles which led him to his career as an auto mechanic. He found immense happiness in the vibrant allure of the beach, particularly Dauphin Island. He also greatly enjoyed the occasional trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Jimmy loved classic western movies and the simple pleasure of an ice cold beer, but it was his family that truly filled his heart. His kindness and dedication to those he loved were unmatched. Jimmy will be deeply missed.
Visitation will start on October 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and continue October 14, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Following the visitation, there will be a funeral service at 1:30 PM, culminating with interment at 2:30 PM. All services will be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in James's honor.
