James "Jimmy" Kelly age 69 of Fayetteville, NC passed away suddenly on October 16, 2025, leaving a legacy of love and laughter.
He was born in San Diego, CA to Richard Donald Kelly and Patricia Ann (Katinsky) Carpenter. Jimmy was known for his infectious humor and generous spirit. He worked with Goodyear Tire and Rubber for more than 42 years before retiring.
Jimmy was a loving son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed and forever cherished by everyone who knew and loved him. He enjoyed fishing, music and sports. Especially his Tar Heels.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Debbie Kelly and sisters Sharon Heath and Cathy Carpenter. He is survived by brother, Michael Carpenter, his daughters, Jamie Kelly Soderbom and Jennifer Kelly, his sons-in-law, Matthew Soderbom and James Edwin Rhone, Jr., his beloved grandson, James Soderbom and many nieces and nephews.
