James J. Johnson Jr., 75, of Milton, Delaware passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife, Rosemary, and beloved daughters, Tracey and Jaime, at home on August 18, 2025. Born in Newark, NJ, Jimmy was the beloved son of the late Thelma and James Johnson Sr. He was the proud owner of Essex Wire Design for over 50 years, where he built a career marked by dedication, craftsmanship, and integrity. Jimmy lived a full and active life. He was a natural athlete, he played softball into his 50s, enjoyed running, fishing, and was a great golfer. He loved taking walks through nature trails. He had a deep love and appreciation for the outdoors and animals. Jimmy was a loving husband of 50 years to the love of his life, Rosemary (Webster). Devoted Father to Tracey Clery (husband Derek) and Jaime Senard (husband Chris). He was a proud grandfather to Hudson (Senard), Ryan (Clery), and Delaney (Senard) – you could often find him on the sidelines cheering them on with pride. Jimmy is survived by his sister, Joy Chafe (husband Donny), and his beloved in-laws, Brian and Judy Webster, Trish and Bill Gallivan, Michael and Andrea Webster, Pam and Mark Sidoti, and Katie Webster. He was adored by many nieces and nephews, all of whom he cherished deeply. Jimmy will be remembered for his strength, gentle spirit and humor. His deep love for his family, connection with nature, and the joy for life's simple pleasures will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Jude’s the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE. A viewing will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 19691 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE.
