James Jason Jones Jr., 72, of Smithfield, VA, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024. He was the son of the late James Jason Jones Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Sawyer Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Diane Carol Dixon Jones; daughter, Mary Ann Hall (Jorge); sons, Michael James Jones (Rachel), Jason Allen Jones (Brittany), and Matthew Scott Jones; grandchildren, Kimberly (Sam), Kirsten (Jack), Caleb, Jonathan, Brittney, Makayla, Kimberly Rose, Madison and Ellie; and a brother, Richard E. Jones. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Terry Elizabeth Jones.
A viewing will be held at Little’s Funeral Home on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Whiteheads Grove Baptist Church, 18366 Benn's Church Blvd, Smithfield, VA, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
