James Gleason Kaufman III

Born to Sherry and James Kaufman Jr. on July 26, 1987 in Farmington Hills, MI.

Beloved father to Leo.

Cherished son of Sherry and James Kaufman Jr.

Dear brother to Kevin (Kayla) LaMontagne ,Kyle Kaufman, and Kristy Sanchez (Ashton Sanchez)

Loved cousin to the Kaufman family ,Owens family, Gillem family, Scott family, Daily family , 2nd cousins VonSprecken family, and Cameron family.

James loved to spend time with his son Leo, playing golf, snowboarding, and riding bikes. He also had a passion for cars, which he shared with Leo. James took pride in his favorite color and car, his Blue Ford Focus R/S. He also loved playing disc golf with his brother Kyle, sister Kristy and brother in-law Ashton. James loved working on his house and he was very proud of his accomplishments. He loved to be Up North with family in his favorite spot at Aunt Betsy's house in Ludington, Michigan. James loved the water, the sunshine, cool nights, bon fires, and sleeping in the hammock. His love for Thai food extra spicy was his go to comfort food. His love for his Pit Bulls was as genuine as his smile. Dually is his newest beloved fur baby and will miss his love and cuddles. Spending time with childhood friends meant the world to James. Sunday Golf with his Father James will be missed deeply. His deep spiritual bond with his Mother Sherry was a shared connection that will last forever.

He worked for Statewide Boring for 8 years. He loved his career as a CNC machinist for 17 years. He was a hard worker and valued employee wherever he worked.

His hobbies included drawing with pencil/charcoal on canvas, Tattoo's, playing video games with Leo, home projects and renovations, working on his car, and his faith in God. James was a simple man, seeking to find the right woman to share his life with.

James is preceded in death with Grandmother and Grandfather Patricia and James Kaufman, Uncle Scott Kaufman, Grandfather Delmar (Pete) Owens

James leaves behind many friends and family who will miss him dearly. He was was known for his kindness, generosity, and steadfast support, he impacted many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

James chose to be a organ donor with friends and family participating in the "Gift of Life Honor Walk" and passed peacefully with his close friends and family by his side.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
