James "Jim" Keller, Sr., 84, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away peacefully on November 27, 2023, surrounded by his family. Jim grew up in Shreveport, a town he loved and only left for a brief time back in the early 60s. He was a self-employed cabinet maker for over 60 years and enjoyed fishing, traveling, football and music. Jim will be dearly missed and always remembered for his love of family and being together with family. Jim received Christ at an early age and is now with his heavenly Father.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Gladys Keller, sister, Sue Brian and two brothers Gene and Charlie Keller. He is survived by the love of his life for over 65 years, wife Joann Berry Keller, son James Keller, Jr. (Barbara), daughter, Lisa Breen (Jason), son, Wes Keller (Cathryn), daughter, Stacey Keller Jenkins, and son, Spencer Keller. Jim also leaves behind one brother, Norman Keller (Martha) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jim requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Jim's friends and loved ones to join us in celebrating his beautiful life at Grawood Baptist Church on 5841 Colquitt Road in Keithville, Louisiana 71047, 1:30pm on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
