Walter Byron Thompson, age 62 also known as "Wally or Walt" of Shreveport Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025 in Shreveport, La. He was born in Shreveport Louisiana to parents Phillip Irvin Thompson and Vivan "Elaine'Thompson on July 30, 1962.
Walter loved spending time with family, friends & his beloved pets Bear, Angel & Callie all who have passed away.
He loved watching sports: football, baseball and nascar racing. He would wear his team jersey on game days. He enjoyed fishing & loved the outdoors. He had many friends through out his life that he was very close to and many close friends that he worked with at LSUS in Shreveport.
He was preceded in death by his parents Phillip Irvin Thompson and Vivan "Elaine'Thompson, Grandparents: Walter "Newton" Burt and Elma Lee Burt, Grandparents Byron Eddie Thompson and Effie Thompson, Sister Phyllis Lee Miller and Niece Rhonda Adale Sandifer.
Those left to cherish his memory include his Wife Rebecca Pantalion Thompson, Sister Melinda Thompson Slocum, Son Hastings Cale and Wife Janettea, Nephew John Brocato, Great nieces Christa Chasteen Husband Mark, Sons Jace and Ronan, Miranda Keller Husband Jackson, Felicia Whitt "Fefe' & partner JP, and son Leesyn Paul and daughter Marlee Adale.
He will be dearly missed by everyone that loved him. A memorial service to celebrate Walter's life will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Aulds Funeral Home in Shreveport, Louisiana.
