James Knell Obituary
James had resided in Meriden all his life and was a 1966 graduate of Platt High School. James was employed by ADF Industries prior to retiring. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the U.S. Army. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.James was a member of the Meriden Elks, American Legion, and PLAV. He was a lover of animals, an avid fly fisherman, and a very patriotic man.
Besides his wife Patricia, he is survived by his son, Trevor Knell and his wife Beth; his grandsons, Adam and Asa Knell.
His family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main Street, Meriden, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:15 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 109 Goodwill Ave., Meriden, CT. Burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
