Rosario G. Hinojoza, 86, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Saturday, September 13, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Rosario was a devoted daughter, loving wife, nurturing mother, proud grandmother, and treasured friend. Her life was rooted in faith, family, and quiet strength. She began her professional life as an educator with Laredo Independent School District, where she taught for five years and touched the lives of many young students. Afterward, she dedicated herself fully to raising her family, a role she embraced with grace and unwavering devotion.

Those who knew Rosario will remember her gentle spirit and her unshakable belief in the goodness of others. She was a woman of deep principles, who taught by example-instilling in her children and grandchildren the values of loyalty, respect, and love. Her words carried wisdom, often expressed through the poetry she loved to read and write, especially in her younger years.

Some of the family's most cherished memories were made at Rosario Ranch, where her love for the land and her family came together in joyful gatherings filled with laughter, home-cooked meals, and the quiet peace she so enjoyed. She also found happiness in travel, creating memories in new places with those she loved most.

Rosario was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Atanacio and Jesusa Garcia, and her dear children, Faustino Hinojoza III and Rosario Hinojoza, who she now joins in eternal rest.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through her children, Miguel A. Hinojoza, Susana A. Hinojoza, and Faustino J. Hinojoza; her grandchildren, Sebastian Avila and Miguel A. Hinojoza (Saralei Ruiz); and her great-grandson, Elias E. Hinojoza, who brought her immense joy. She will also be deeply missed by countless extended family members and friends whose lives she touched with kindness.

The Hinojoza family will receive guests on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. The chapel will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, September 22, with departure at 9:00 a.m. for the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
