James Anthony Krivanek was born on September 21, 1934 in Portland, Oregon and passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025 at the age of 90.

Jim was the son of Anthony and Ethel Krivanek. He had one brother, Donald. The entire family were golf enthusiasts. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Portland and apprenticed as a painter with the company where his father worked. He served for 3 years in the United States Army after which he resumed his career in painting and wallcovering, ultimately starting his own company. He took pride in having brought color to many commercial businesses and home residences.

Jim loved playing ice hockey and played in a senior league until he was 81 years old! He was also a history buff and took great interest in family ancestry. He also greatly enjoyed spending time with his precious grandchildren.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, his beloved wife Judy as well as one granddaughter, Ashley Krivanek. Jim is survived by his sons Dale (Shelley), Mike, Mark, Rick (Diana) and Bob (Iris) along with 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sister-in-law, Lacey, and 2 nieces and their families. Jim was well loved and will be very missed by his entire family.
