James L. “Jim” “Bunky” Lauderdale Jr. peacefully made his way to be with our Lord on November 3rd, 2025 at 2:07am in Tallmadge OH, at the age of 81. DOB 1/08/44. Born in Barre, VT. He graduated from Spaulding High School in 1964 in Barre, VT. Bunky is the son of Gloria A. Lauderdale (Gennetti) and James L. Lauderdale Sr., who he will be interred beside at the Restland Cemetery in Brimfield, OH. There will only be a private ceremony for the immediate family.
He served in the United States Air Force and was a master skilled sandblaster for many decades. He was an incredible national bowling champion for many years. Bunky will be remembered for his ability to be humorous without much effort and making people laugh on a whim, a contagious laugh and a very hard worker who was also committed to his country.
He is survived by his only sibling, John Lauderdale. He is also survived by 4 children, Bradley Lauderdale, Brett Lauderdale, Heather Maione (Lauderdale), and Erica Lauderdale, a son in law and a daughter in law. He is survived by 12 grandchildren ranging from the ages of 7 to 27, and two great grandchildren.
Although Bunky’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. As you continue to worship Jesus up there, dear Jim, your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
Until We Meet Again.
