James Alan LeDosquet, affectionately known as Jim to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, in Menifee, California, at the age of 76. Born on July 1, 1948, in Williston, North Dakota, Jim's life was a testament to his loving, friendly, and faith-filled nature.
Jim proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy, after which he embarked on a meaningful career as a Licensed Funeral Director. For 20 years, he provided comfort and support to countless families, working with dedication at several establishments including Evans-Brown Mortuary, Miller-Jones Mortuary, Emmerson and Bartlett, and beginning his esteemed career at Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home in his hometown of Williston.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Jim was a pillar of his community. His commitment to service was evident through his active participation and volunteering at numerous community events. He was a cherished member of the Canyon Lake Community Church, where he practiced his faith and extended his camaraderie and support to the congregation.
A master card player, Jim's love for a good game was only matched by his skill. His ability to bring people together for a friendly competition was one of the many ways he expressed his warm and engaging spirit. Jim's laughter and joy during these games will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by those who had the pleasure of sharing the table with him.
Jim's legacy is carried on by his adoring family, including his children Craig LeDosquet, Jennifer Wood, Spencer LeDosquet, and Cameron LeDosquet, as well as his seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride. He is also survived by his siblings John LeDosquet, Jeff LeDosquet, and Barb Seeger, who will continue to honor his memory through the values he instilled in them.
Jim's presence was a source of stability and love in the lives of his family and friends. He was a man who lived his life with a genuine sense of kindness and an unwavering commitment to his beliefs. His influence will be felt for generations to come, and his memory will be cherished in the hearts of those who knew him.
We bid farewell to a remarkable man whose life was a beacon of friendliness and caring. Jim's passing leaves a void in the community he so dearly loved, but his spirit will forever remain a guiding light for all who had the honor of knowing him.
As we reflect on Jim's life, we are reminded of the impact one individual can have on so many. We celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, friendship, and faith. James Alan LeDosquet will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire us every day.
