James (Mike) Lee, age 70, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025 at Sweetwater Healthcare Center.

Per his wishes, his body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 29, 2025, at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. J.T. Thornton officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Mike was born on November 23, 1955, in El Dorado, Kansas to Ned Lee and Estella (Truitt) Lee. He married Donna Wright on March 20, 2006 in Sweetwater, Texas. He worked as a mill operator and foreman for U.S.G. for many years before retiring. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Lee of Sweetwater, Texas; son, Jeff Lee and wife Amy of Midland, Texas; daughter, Tricia Berry and husband Lamar of Carlsbad, New Mexico, stepson, Charles Stracener and wife Toya of Sweetwater, Texas; step-daughter, Jessica Kahsar and husband Greg of Negaunee, Michigan, grandchildren, Keating Kahsar, Max Berry, Maddie Cruthis, Caleb Lee and Brycen Mann; great grandson, Weston Cruthis; brother, Terry Lee of Sweetwater, Texas and sister, Patti Goza and husband Curtis of Sweetwater, Texas, sister-in-law, Susan Sorelle and husband Kenneth of Sweetwater, Texas, sister-in-law, Becky McGill of Lubbock, Texas and brother-in-law, Bryan Wright of Sweetwater,  Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ned & Estella Lee, in-laws, Sam and Mary Ann Wright, grandson, Seth McIntosh, and niece, Amy Mann.
