James Anthony Leo. Age 86. Channahon resident, formerly of Sarasota, Florida and Harvey, Illinois. Graduate of Thornton Township High School Class of 1957. United States Navy Cuban Missile Crisis Veteran. Attended Thornton Community College. Retired after 25 years of service as an Engineer from the City of Harvey Fire Department where he was known as "Mr. Popcorn" to all the Firemen. Jim was also the Head Photographer for the Harvey Fire and Police Departments. A Volunteer Fireman while living in Sarasota, Florida. Jim also worked as Glass Glazer at Nelson Glass and a Starter/Ranger at Heritage Bluffs Golf Course. Husband for 60 years of Edna nee Jones. Father of Teresa (Martin) Zalewski, Joseph (Suzanne) Leo Sr and Lisa A (Joseph) Galullo. Grandfather of Anthony (Meghan) Zalewski, Victoria Zalewski, Kylie Zalewski, Joseph P Leo Jr, Dominic Leo, Michelle Leo, Angelina Galullo, Sofia Galullo, and Joseph Galullo Jr. Great grandfather of Isabella Ray. Son of the late Mary Ellen nee Genovese and Joseph Leo. Brother of the late Rosemary Leo. Friend of many. Committal Service with Military Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W.
