In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Alice Ann Litchfield; sons, Landon Litchfield and James "Jimmie" Litchfield Jr.; step father, Byron Litchfield; brother, Robert Smale; and sister, Genevieve Jackson.
Mr. Litchfield is survived by his children, Gail Richey, Julie Litchfield, Corey Litchfield (Renee), Chad Litchfield (Cara), and Jared Litchfield (Chantel); grandchildren, James Litchfield III (Kayla), Emmaline Litchfield, Cooper Litchfield, Lyla Litchfield, Jacob Litchfield, and Finnley Litchfield; great grandchildren, Ella Litchfield, Emersyn Litchfield and James Litchfield IV; and brothers, Ray Smale and Joe Litchfield.
James loved to work, especially painting and hanging wallpaper. His passion was working with his local church's youth group, Pathfinders. James was a member of the Highland Seventh Day Adventist Church.
The family will hold a memorial service on Friday, August 22nd, 2025 at 3:00 PM from Highland Seventh Day Adventist Church located at 100 Highland Circle Dr. Portland, TN 37148.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to Pathfinders at Highland Seventh Day Adventist Church, 100 Highland Circle Drive, Portland, Tennessee 37148. (615)325-3925. highlandadventist.org
