James T. Lloyd

James T. Lloyd, 73, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023. Jim was born on August 14, 1949, in Canton, Ohio the son of the late Austin and Sue Lloyd. Jim was a 1968 graduate of Perry High School. He was an Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper from 1971 to 1979. He was an adjuster for Cincinnati Insurance Company from 1979 to 1988. In 1988 he was the owner / operator of 4 Frontier Adjusters offices located in Canton, Akron, Youngstown, and Steubenville. Jim retired in 2014. In retirement he enjoyed working as a starter at Tam O'Shanter, Skyland Pines and Raintree Golf Courses. He and his wife, Karen spent 3 months traveling across country and back. Jim was an avid golfer and he loved washing his cars and playing with his grandchildren who called him "Pop".
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers John "Rick" and Chuck Lloyd, and his sister Abby Lloyd.
He is survived by his loving wife Karen Lloyd, with whom he shared 52 years of marriage; children, Addie (Doug) Kleinhenz, and Andrew (Katie) Lloyd; grandchildren, Kaylee Kleinhenz, Layla Lloyd, Farrah Lloyd, Tatum Kleinhenz, Ryder Kleinhenz, and Teagan Lloyd; siblings, Scott (Wendy) Lloyd, Roger Lloyd, Martha Pachan, Ted Lloyd, Molly (Dave) Carlson, Amy (Matt) Pachan, Dan (Patty) Lloyd, and Kerry (Tom) Antenucci; 30 nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, from 5-8 pm.
