James R Lloyd

James (Jim) R. Lloyd, age 81, of Bonita Springs, Fl., passed away on July 4th, 2024. He was born on June 12th, 1943, in Lynch, Ky. Jim is the son of the late Beckham Leonard and Vera Hall Lloyd.
He was the founding owner of Lloyds Florist, was inducted into the Kentucky Florist Association Hall of Fame and was a sales agent for Allstate Insurance. Jim was a former president of South Park Country Club, Okolona Kiwanis Club, and Okolona Business Association. His hobbies included golf, boating, hunting Indian relics, photography, cooking, wine making, traveling, and was an avid University of Kentucky football and basketball fan.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Juanita Jewel Kidd (James), Geneva Onibe Wells (Arthur), Zetta Lou Glover (Sidney); brothers Herbert Lloyd, William Ralph Lloyd, Harold Edward Lloyd (May), Riley Elmer Lloyd, and Donald Lee Lloyd (Marie).
Jim is survived by his loving wife Dianna, son Kevin Lloyd (Kim), stepdaughters Kim Kastensmidt, Donna Collins (Roger), Wendy Stevens, brothers Thurman Jethro Lloyd, Darwin Beckham Lloyd; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The services are at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville, Road Louisville, Ky. 40205. The visitation is Wednesday July, 10th from 3:00-4:00 for family and 4:00-8:00 for friends. The funeral service is on Thursday July, 11th at 11:00 am.
