James E. Lynch, age 95, of Amesbury, passed in the peaceful and loving surroundings at the High Pointe House in Haverhill, with his family at his side.

Born in Everett, MA on September 6, 1930, he was the son of the late John B. and Helen F. (Sullivan) Lynch and was a graduate of Everett High School.

Jim was an accomplished carpenter, and ran his own business for many years. He was an exceptional craftsman who took great pride in his work.

Jim was also an incredible runner, holding numerous records throughout his lifetime. One of his proudest achievements was completing the 2001 Boston Marathon at the age of 70, finishing in 4 hours and 27 minutes. His dedication and passion for the sport inspired many.

A lover of music, Jim played the piano, guitar, and harmonica, and he loved to sing. His music was a source of joy for his family and friends, and a true reflection of his creative spirit.

The hardworking man that he was did not stop him from spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who held a very special spot in his heart for all of them.

He leaves behind his children, Diane Repucci, James E. Lynch and wife Alice, and Joseph Lynch; his beloved grandchildren, Robert Repucci, Jillian Repucci, Kimberly Lynch, Christine Lynch, Danielle J. Lynch, Nicole A. Lynch, Maria Donovan, Antonino Mantia, Michael Lynch, Kelsey Lynch, and Chelsea Lynch, along with great-grandchildren, extended family and dear friends throughout his life. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by a son, Daniel J. Lynch, a daughter, Karen Lynch, and his brother, John Lynch.
